The role: Innovation Intern

We are looking for an ambitious, multi-passionate and skilled, gritty intern in a hybrid marketing and operations role! You will be an integral member in the continuing development of exciting acquisition and community building initiatives.

In addition to non-stop learning and the opportunity to innovate and execute new ideas, you will be working with 3 of the original 5 founders of a startup in the home services space that powers billions of dollars of GMV. This is a real-world, start up experience you won’t get anywhere else - a great resume builder and primer to a fast paced dynamic startup world.

You are passionate about helping others and great at building and maintaining relationships. You are self-motivated and have the ability to multi-task in a fast-moving environment. You are a team player and goal-oriented. You are a risk-taker and not afraid to break the rules in order to prove something you believe in. You’ve got amazing in-person and online communications skills and know how to get what you need to get done at any cost.

The Innovation team strives in coming up with ideas, but also taking them directly from concept to functioning in the real world - no theory here. This is the core of zero to one mindset that excites you every day - in our world, anything is possible. You will be an integral part of the innovation team, and collaborate closely with the marketing, sales, community, and engineering teams to work on high-impact strategic and operational projects.

Responsibilities

    • Help build prospect and lead generation machines
    • Build landing pages and get backlinks to boost SEO
    • Work with trade schools and Pros
    • Help manage the trade school scholarship program
    • Work on back end operations and customer/partner facing tasks on existing and new innovation team projects
    • Participate in community engagement in owned and external communities
    • Catalog existing content and turn into evergreen content
    • Create new blog content and downloadable resources
    • Whatever exciting new stuff we come up with along the way

    Qualifications

    • Must be self-motivated, passionate, coachable, relentlessly resourceful, resilient, and able to multitask
    • Creative, strategic, and technical skills
    • Ability to handle customer relationship management, and work in a fast-paced environment
    • A naturally curious, driven and dynamic team player with “hunter” mentality
    • Excellent written/verbal communication skills
    • Strong time-management and organizational skills
    • HTML/CSS proficiency is preferred
