The role: Full Stack Software Engineer

As a Full-Stack Software Engineer at Housecall Pro, we’re looking for engineers who can understand our company’s needs and the expectations of our applications and who have expertise in a variety of skills, including the ability to work with all layers comprising our application.

You’ll work with an Agile engineering team on our main Ruby on Rails application. You’ll iterate through fast-paced use cases: designing, developing, and testing small features. Then you’ll ship that code. To Production. Every day.

Initially, you’ll rotate through the Ruby on Rails platform team, the JavaScript/React web team, the iOS mobile team, and the Android mobile team to become familiar with those technologies.

However, If you have deep experience in one of our technology stacks and would like to focus, you can join a particular team out of the gate.

What you’ll be doing

  • Working as a member of our Engineering team to develop and deploy features to our core web application,
  • Rotating through and learning the technology stacks that drive HouseCall Pro,
  • Joining the Rails, Web, iOS, or Android team to focus your work in a particular platform.


  • Demonstrable proficiency in a programming language such as Ruby, JavaScript/React, Swift, Kotlin, Python, Java, etc.
  • Ability and willingness to learn our Housecall Pro’s platforms (Ruby on Rails, Javascript/React, iOS, and Android),
  • Ability to work at a fast pace to quickly deliver value to our customers,
  • Ability to bring your latest and greatest learning and tell us why we should use them tomorrow in HouseCall Pro,
  • BS, MS or Ph.D in computer science program, graduation from a recognized Code Academy, or 2 years industry experience.
